Leadership Biography
Brent Rogers, CFA
Managing Partner, Investments & Finance
Brent is a CFA charterholder who has built a career in corporate finance and strategy spanning both Canada and the Caribbean. He began his career with PwC Caribbean, where he led the budgeting and forecasting operations for the regional firm and redesigned its management reporting process. He developed dynamic dashboards utilizing applications such as Power BI and Alteryx that transformed financial data into actionable insights for business leaders.
Brent subsequently spent three years in EY’s Strategy and Transactions practice, advising businesses and investors across a range of industries, including real estate, energy and infrastructure, financial services, and retail. His work has included business valuations, independent business reviews, financial model development, and debt capital advisory.
Among his engagements, Brent conducted an independent valuation of a US$59 million revenue distribution business, helped determine the funding structure for a US$20 million private bond placement, and prepared financial and strategic materials for a public-private partnership involving a state-owned port operator. Across these engagements, Brent developed the ability to understand client needs, allowing him to develop and structure solutions and prepare decision-ready materials for lenders, investors, management teams, and boards.
Today, Brent serves in a corporate strategic advisory role with a Canadian financial institution, where he supports corporate initiatives that drive business growth and provides market intelligence to senior management.
At Hillaby Advisory, Brent brings this institutional experience to privately held businesses that may not otherwise have access to professional advisory services. His belief is simple: a growing business should have access to the same rigorous financial thinking used by larger institutions, whether it is evaluating an acquisition, determining its value, raising capital, or making a critical strategic decision, delivered at a scope and fee appropriate to its needs.
Brent is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of CFA Society Toronto, where he contributes to the Strategic Content Creation Committee. He holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of the West Indies.
